Key aspects towards the advancement of e-mobility in the region: Charging Infrastructure & Electric Buses
Transport is one of the sectors that contributes the most to global GHG emissions. Thus, the electrification of transport has become an important policy goal for local and national governments around the globe aiming at contributing to the achievement of the Paris Agreement. In Latin America, transport is responsible for one third of the region’s GHG emissions. Hence, several countries and cities have launched their e-mobility strategies and are starting their application. However, the transition to electric mobility poses a series of challenges that need to be taken into consideration for a successful long-term implementation.

Infraestructura de recarga y buses eléctricos
El transporte es uno de los sectores que más contribuye a las emisiones globales de gases de efecto invernadero (GEI). Por lo tanto, la electrificación del transporte se ha convertido en un importante objetivo político para los gobiernos locales y nacionales de todo el mundo con el fin de contribuir a la implementación del Acuerdo de París. En América Latina, el transporte es responsable de un tercio de las emisiones de GEI de la región. Por ello, varios países y ciudades han puesto en marcha sus estrategias de movilidad eléctrica y están iniciando su aplicación. Sin embargo, la transición a la movilidad eléctrica (e-movilidad) plantea una serie de retos que deben tenerse en cuenta para una implementación exitosa a largo plazo.
